Fun Activity Idea!

Looking for a fun activity to do with your child this weekend? Practice counting to 10 with one-to-one correspondence! There are multiple ways your child can practice counting that is both fun and easy. Here are some ideas:

  • Go for a walk and count how many trees you see.
  • When your child is cleaning up their toys, count how many toys they have.
  • Build a tower and count how many blocks they stacked.
  • When putting away laundry, count how many pieces of clothing they have.
  • When eating a snack, count how many pieces of snack they will eat.

Here is a fun counting video we have been singing this week:

Fun Activity Idea this Weekend!

This week, we have been learning about colors. The students learned about colors in a variety of ways. We read books about colors, we graphed our favorite color, we drew pictures using our favorite color, and we sorted colored pom-poms.

This weekend, I encourage you to go for a color walk with your child! Walk around the neighborhood and look for these colors:

Fun Activity Idea this Weekend!

It looks like we are getting a little bit of rain this weekend. This is a great time to read stories with your child! I encourage you to read a story with your child every day this weekend. You can look at the pictures with your child and tell a story. This helps your child learn beginning reading skills by telling a story with the pictures.

The first day of school

The first day of preschool is Monday, September 21. School begins at 8:15 and ends at 11:20. Be sure that your child gets a good night sleep. Mrs. Lawson and Mrs. Elgabri are looking forward to a fun filled school year!
