Students have a C.E.R. to complete for the article “Ancient Face”. This will be used for small group time and collected tomorrow.
In English Language Arts we will partner edit the writing blast essay. All students should have a completed essay that has been shared to my gmail.

There is NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, due to election day. You will see lights on and cars at school because of voting, but students get to stay home and read 🙂
In Ancient World History, we will finish our work on Chapter 3 in the TCI book and get ready for a test early next week.
School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”
If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools. Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years. Continue reading

On Friday we will conduct the Writing Blast and continue reading Chapter 3.
Homework is the section 3.4 “Neolithic Nick” bubble sheet and the Talk to the Text notes.
The field trip today was great. A HUGE thank you to the parents who chaperoned.
On Monday we will have a History test on chapters 1 and 2 in the TCI Ancient World books.
In Language Arts, we will have a quiz on An American Childhood and Exploring the Titanic.
The field trip is on Friday.
Students should finish the hominid books. There will be no more time given in class.
The hominids are: Australopithecus, Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Homo Sapiens Neanderthalis, Homo Sapiens Sapiens
Do the five questions for Exploring the Titanic.

Conferences are Monday from 4-7
and Wednesday from 4-7.
It is very helpful to students when they see their parents and teachers discussing their school work.
Students can wear school-appropriate costumes to the field trip on Friday.
