3/4’s warm and cool weavings
My 3/4 Montessori students painted with warm and cool colors to create these beautiful weavings. They measured and cut their warp strips (math in art! Sneaky!) and wove the black weft strips over and under.
Students could paint whatever symbol they wanted, so long as they used warm colors for the shape and cool colors for the background.
Prior to this project, grades 3/4 worked with geometric and organic shape with this collage inspired by artist Reggie Laurent.
