Today we learned that each number has a place value assigned to it. We are looking at two digit numbers and using tens and ones to represent them. In the number 24, the 2 is worth 20 and the 4 is worth 4. So, 20+4=24 would be called expanded form. Their homework is a place value worksheet. They must also circle proper nouns. click here
