Hi Families!

Our homework tonight is to count the sides and vertices on the shapes. Vertices are the points where the edges or sides meet. They can be thought of as corners.

Their writing topic is to write their opinion about their favorite food. They should start with a topic sentence which states their opinion. Here is an example.

I love all kinds of food, but pizza is my favorite.

Next, they must provide at least two reasons why that food is their favorite. Here are examples:

First, I love cheese and vegetables and you can add as many of these toppings as you want to pizza! Another reason, is pizza is cool because you can eat it with your hands. Finally, pizza is fun to eat with your friends. I just love pizza parties! There are so many types of foods that I enjoy, but pizza is my favorite (this last sentence is the closing sentence.)
