Sorry for the late post. The homework tonight involved the students counting tens and ones. We have been learning that each number has a value depending on what “place” it is in. For example, the 5 in the number 57 has a value of 50 because it is in the tens place. I am going to send some plastic tens and ones home with some students. If your child brings these home, please let them practice using the tens and ones to represent numbers.
Parent / Teacher Conferences: We begin conferences next week, and the expectation at Miller is that 100% of our families meet with their child’s/children’s teacher(s). I look very forward to this time with you because it provides an opportunity for us to discuss your child’s progress, strengths, academic goals, and growth thus far. Also, I encourage and welcome you to voice any concerns, share triumphs, and ask any questions about your child. I sent reminder notes home today. Please return these, confirming that the time works for you. If the time is not convenient, I will reschedule your appointment. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thank You for your time !
