March

Hello Families!
Wow, I cannot believe it is March already! Here are this week’s spelling words:

say
tray
away
gray
may
day
once
would
live
open

One thing we have been doing a lot lately is looking at our spelling pattern and seeing if we can find it in our books so that we learn how do apply it. For example, this week’s pattern is “ay” in most words, so they should be able to read most words with “ay” it them.

Please continue to show your children examples of maps at home or online. We are also taking about human and physical characteristics.
Examples of Human characteristics: bridges, buildings, tunnels, train tracks

Physical characteristics: hills, mountains, lakes, oceans, cliffs, forests

In science we are talking about the importance of the sun
1. It warms the earth.
2. It gives us light.
3. It gives plants and people energy.
4. It helps plants grow.

In Math, we are learning about 2-D and 3-D shapes. Look at the objects in your home. See if your child can name the shape of each object.

Please remember to turn in permission slips (along with 10 dollars) by March 16th.

Thank You for your continued support!
