Tomorrow (Tuesday May 21,2014) is our science fair. Come and check out 3-5th grades individual science projects and stop in the media center to see what science experiments K-2 have done together in class. This runs from 6:00-7:00pm. The Ice Cream Social is also happening tomorrow from 6:30-8:00pm. Hope to see your there!

Hi Everyone,
We have a math test on Tuesday May, 6th. A study guide has been sent home and needs to come back to school on Monday so we can review together. The school year is closing in on us and on Tuesday we will begin our ABC count down to the last day. On Monday you will get the countdown list so you know what to do each day. Have Fun!!! Field Trip is on May 15th and you will be getting a reminder closer to the date. Also on May 21st we will have a school-wide Science Fair/Ice Cream Social. First Grade students do not need to do a science experiment at home, we have been doing them in class and photos and student work will be displayed in our room on that day.

The Michigan Fitness Foundation’s Safe Routes to School Program and Michigan Department of Transportation invites your school to participate in Bike to School Day 2014 on May 7!
Bike to School Day is a national event that focuses on bringing community leaders, parents, students and other stakeholders together to build awareness for communities to be more walkable and bikeable.
This year’s theme for Bike to School Day is SUPERHEROES! We want our students to know that when they walk, bike, or roll to school they are protecting their right to get there safely.
New Arrival Procedures begin on April 28
Now that spring is finally here, we will be implementing new arrival procedures. ALL students will be required to line up with their class at the appropriate arrival door. No students or parents will be allowed to wait in the lobby unless it is raining. Teachers will open the arrival doors when the bell rings at 8:35 (9:35 on Late Start days). All doors will be closed and locked at the tardy bell at 8:40. Students arriving after the tardy will need to enter through the lobby doors and check in at the office. The arrival doors for our class is Door #19 Culver street side.
Due to the upcoming short week the spelling test will be given next Thursday April 17, 2014.
Just a reminder, Field Trip Forms are due tomorrow.
Math Study Guides were sent home today, however there were a couple left on desks, so if your child is missing one that is why.
