Report Cards will be distributed on November 9th and 10th from 12:00-3:00 pm in the lobby. Please enter from Door 11 near the office. NWEA Family reports, WIDA Reports and Yearbooks will be available for distribution as well.
Sad News……..Mrs. M wanted me to let you know that she will not be seeing students this week as her father passed away yesterday. She will begin next Monday.
Please look over the new Small Group Schedule as some students are in different groups, and many are now on different days or times. Groups 1 and 2 who have been seeing Mrs. M. will also be seeing me so look for your child’s name and days and times with Mrs. M. and then with me. It is important that your child show up at their scheduled time. Even though we are not physically in the classroom, this is how our afternoon would go. Both myself and Mrs. M. would be seeing groups, and her groups would also be seeing me on the same days, because we would be seeing those two groups 4-5 days a week if we were in the classroom. Learning to read is an important and necessary skill, please be sure they are coming to their scheduled group times.

Tomorrow I will have new packets/folders for students as well as a new math book. They will be in the lobby again. Do not return the yellow one just yet, there are some pages in there that I may use next week. I will have you return those with the next pick up. Some students are not able to locate their math manipulatives, if you get a chance can you help them find those supplies and then help them come up with a plan to keep them in a specific place? Thanks. Conferences begin today, They are virtual so go to your child’s zoom meeting and join from there. Thanks again for all you have been doing during this time, my kids are young adults now and I can’t imagine working, or even not working, and having to be a part time teacher to my kids on top of all my other responsibilities. I know many of you have more than one child to take care of as well. I hope you stop for a moment and pat yourself on the back for taking on this new responsibility, as well as find some time to do something just for yourself. Even if its just for 20 minutes.
Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences will begin this Thursday, November 5th. Then Tuesday November 10th, and Tuesday November 17th. I’ll be putting a sign up genius on the blog soon.

There will be two bins in the lobby for you tomorrow (Friday) 9am-4pm. One is to put their current blue reading folder in and the other will have their new folder in it. Your child’s name will be on it. These are set with two weeks of lessons. They contain not only reading materials for the morning, and independent work, but also materials for two weeks of afternoon small group zoom lessons (just in case covid numbers stay high or increase to over 5%). Whiteboard markers will be set out too, one per student please. I will be creating a schedule for small afternoon zoom groups. I will post it this weekend. Hope you get a chance to enjoy the weekend and some fresh air.
Hello, we received an email today saying that Learning Labs should be cancelled due to covid cases, but that we could finish up testing this week. So the only learning labs that will take place will be tomorrow, with Mrs. M. on Zoom at your regular time with her. I will not be meeting with those groups on zoom tomorrow as I am having students come in during those times to take their math test. Sorry for the inconvenience and the constant changes. I will be getting a schedule out for next week’s afternoon zoom groups by Monday Morning. I will be working the rest of this week on getting together a unit 2 reading packet for students. It will be available for pick up right inside the lobby on Friday. I will have two boxes out there. One for you to drop off their current reading folder (make sure their name is on it), and the other box will be for you to take their Unit 2 folder from. I’m going to color code the units with a piece of paper, so they can locate them a little easier. I will also leave some whiteboard markers for you if you need one you can take it. The folders will be available for pick up at 9:00am – 4:00pm -this Friday the 23rd.
