Hello,
I’m sad to say that only 12 grandparent interviews have been turned in. These were due today. They are being graded in two areas, for content (social studies grade) and presentation (speaking and listening) so this will impact their report card grade if it is not turned in. For those of you who have not turned them in please do so by Monday June 5, 2017. This assignment is correlated with a First Grade Michigan Benchmark.

Just a reminder that their social studies homework is due this Thursday the 1st.
Friday is “P” day. Popsicle and Pajama Day. If you would like to donate Popsicles or Flavor Ice for that day please let me know by email or a note on their reading log. Also if their is a parent who would like to come in and teach our class about Ramadan just let me know so we can set up a day and time. We’d love to learn more about it! On Friday please send in a towel for your child to sit on as we will be eating our Popsicle and reading a book outside.

Garden Club and City Beautiful will meet for the LAST TIME this school year on Friday, June 2, from 3:40-4:30.
Field Trip Forms were due last week. If you didn’t get a chance to turn them in please send them in tomorrow.
The orders for 2017 Field Day T-Shirts are due by this Thursday, May 25. Shirts are $5 each. This is a special order- no late additions, returns, re-orders, or exchanges! There will not be extra shirts to purchase. You do not have to order a shirt to participate. Order forms should be returned to Ms. Zechar. Thanks. Tomorrow and Friday we will be taking our NWEA reading and math tests. Students have looked at their goals and are going to take their time and do their best tomorrow. In-School Field Trip
Dear Families,
We have arranged for The Cranbrook Institute of Science to come and do a fun, hands-on science experiment for our students. This will take place in the afternoon of May 12th at Snow Elementary. Students will learn about animal life: how animals grow; change and survive by looking closely at insects and other small creatures under microscopes. Parents are welcome to come and help with the lesson. Please send $7.00 cash by Friday, April 28th so that we can make our deposit. Thank you for your support in your child’s science skill development.
