FYI

Hello,

I just want to let you know that picture retake day is tomorrow. Also, there is no spelling test due to the short week but they do have math homework today. It’s clocks and telling time.  They have been working very hard to understand how to read and write the hands on a clock for time to the half hour. There will be a quiz tomorrow on it.

Enjoy the extra time with your kids this week:)   They grow up fast!!!

Stay warm and Happy Thanksgiving

Hello Parents,

We have started a unit in social studies on families. I have sent home a sheet of paper for you to fill in. We will be making family trees and need that information. Please return by tomorrow or Thursday.

Some students are having trouble zipping coats and tying shoes, have them practice at home.

If you have not turned in your conference form, please do so tomorrow.

Thank you and have a great rest of the day!

Thank You, Play, Conferences

Thank you chaperones for your help today. The kids had fun. Here is a quote from one of our students as we were walking back to class, “I don’t like school it’s boring, I want to go back to the science center!”  The students are putting on small plays tomorrow, come join us if you can. 11:15 am in our room.

Thursday November 9th is our first round of conferences. I’ll be sending home reminders tomorrow with your time (for the 9th). Some of you did not sign up at Open House so I found a slot for you. Invite to Watch Plays on Friday November 3rd

Good Morning,

I mentioned we would be doing plays today and we are. We are going to do them for the 3rd graders down the hall from us. However, we will do them again on Friday the 3rd (it’s a half day) at 11:15 am for any parents that would like to come and watch. This is their first one so the goal was to have them follow along while others read their part so that they would know when to read their character’s part. We also worked on reading their lines with expression. Some students had more than one part in their play which made it more challenging. If you get a chance ask them how they did today for their audience 🙂

Thank you parents and field trip

I want to thank Mrs. Gregory for organizing the Halloween Party and also thank all  of you who came in to help, those who donated supplies, those who donated food/candy/drinks/plates etc… The students and I had a great time!!!

Thursday is our first field trip. Please send their lunch in a bag so it can be thrown out after. Many of you have signed up to chaperone 🙂  Come to our room at 8:55 am  so I can give you the list of students you will be looking after and go over the itinerary. Also, I’m giving you the website address so you can check out their parking options. The science center lot is free but parking is limited according to the website. They provide you with 3 other options ranging in price from $7.00-$7.50.  They open at 10:00am.
