I’ve just learned about a math website that is tied into the Eureka Math Curriculum. It’s called  Zearn. Tomorrow I will help students log on and begin working. We will start with module 1 because we still have 4 more lessons before the end of the module assessment. It will be a good review for them. I have taped their password onto their homework folder so that they can go on it at home. You can have them try tonight if you want, otherwise, by tomorrow they will get official training.

We will be ending our “What are waves” science unit tomorrow with a test. We reviewed yesterday for it. On Monday we will begin a new social studies unit titled What is a Family?

A big thank you to Christina Soto for organizing/setting up and working with the kids during the Halloween Party! Thank you to anyone else who may have helped her in some way. The kids had fun.

I am sending home conference reminder forms. Please look it over and send back confirmation stub.

We’ve spent the last three days reviewing for and taking their fist math test.

Tomorrow is a half day. Spelling test will be given.

Just want to say thank you for volunteering your time and chaperoning students and/or being a carpool driver, on Friday’s Field Trip. We had a lot of fun and learned a few things!

Halloween Wednesday-celebration 2:30-3:20

Hello,

Our Field Trip to Upland Hills Farm is this Friday, October 26th. Please have your child dress for the weather as we will be outside for part of the trip. It is located in Oxford, Michigan…in case you want to check their weather for Friday. Also please send a bag lunch, with name on it, so that your child doesn’t have to carry a lunch box around all day.

We will be taking the spelling test after we get back from the trip.

Those of you who are chaperoning will receive a note tomorrow in your child’s folder with important information. Please read and meet us in our classroom at 9:00 am.

We will have a little Halloween Party on Wednesday. It will begin at 2:30 and end at 3:20. You can send them in their costume if you like or have them change into it at that time. Please no masks, weapons, or heavy make up. Cristina Soto has been organizing the party so a big “thank you” goes out to her. She has planned the games and arranged for food/treats.
