Math Test Study Guide

Hello, students will be bringing home a completed math practice test. Please use this as a study guide over the weekend for Monday’s test. They had some fun with the measurement and graphing unit but now it’s back to the grind. Our next unit will focus on tens and ones, comparing numbers, addition and subtraction of tens (mid module assessment), then adding tens OR ones to a two-digit number and eventually adding tens AND ones to a two digit number (end of module assessment).

There is a calendar of events in their folder from the PTA to check out.

A few things

Good Afternoon,

I want to let you know we finished the winter math NWEA, we split it into 2 days to help them stay focused and not feel frustrated by the length of it. There are about 43-46 questions, and they are not always easy. Next week we will begin reading. Same way, two days.

No school on Monday and half day Tuesday.

I have posted next week’s spelling words if you want them to practice them on Monday.

They took an end of unit science test yesterday. We reviewed for the test on Wednesday. Next week we will begin economics in social studies.

Mahdi was our student of the week this week and Sophia is student of the week for the week of the 20th.

Notes…

Coffee with the Principal

Stop by for an informal chat and a cup of coffee with Principal Alcodray on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 8:45am in the Snow Cafeteria

Mrs. Bush is collecting books for a school book sale. Clear up a little space by sending in books you no longer want.

A few things…

Scholastic Book Order forms are going home today. They are due on the 17th. Please consider ordering, last time only one student did and I couldn’t place the order because they would have charged for shipping. Also, when books are ordered, we get free books to add to our classroom for them to use in their book boxes.

NWEA testing Tuesday and Thursday this upcoming week.

Half day this Friday
