Grandparent Interview

We have been looking at past, present, and future, and the different ways you can learn about history. One of those ways is through talking or interviewing someone.  Students will bring home an “interview” assignment which directs them to interview a grandparent because we want them to speak with someone at least two generations away from them.  If a grandparent is not available please have them interview another relative with a two generational gap or a neighbor or family friend. The assignment is due next Wednesday which is when we will begin to present their interviews to the class.  For the presentation they may bring in a  photo of this person or an “artifact” of theirs that shows a different time period than the recent past. They have learned that photos and artifacts are also another way to study history.
