LO: Students will read and write using a note taker and expert folders.
1. SSR + record number of pages, date, & book.
2. Have your syllabus on your desk for me to check during SSR.
3. Article from Monday—civil rights issue or not?
a. Choose passage that we could potentially use in an essay/argument.
4. Toolkit notes:
a. Summarizing
b. Paraphrasing
c. Quotations
Tomorrow: Expert folders
a. Examine contents of expert folder.
b. Do not write on any documents in the folder.
c. Use a separate piece of paper to create a note taker.
d. You must analyze at least 5 documents.
