HLA 4:
You have a substitute today, here are the plans:
1.Students will read silently for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, they record how many pages they read today.
2.Continue expert folder activity from yesterday.
When you have gathered information for at least 5 sources from the folder, you can begin to draft your essay outline.
3.Take the handout for writing an outline.

ELL 4B:
1.Students will read silently for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, they record how many pages they read today.
2.We will check the homework from yesterday. Students will share answers on the board!
3.Students will draft a resume using the examples in the packet they already have. They should write this information on loose leaf.
4.If you are ready, you can go to: https://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactives/resume_generator/
5.They will use this site to help generate a resume. When finished or partially finished, they should choose to email their resume. They need to give it a name, type in their school email as the receiver and the sender. This way, they will have access to it tomorrow.

CO: Students will demonstrate analysis of informational and narrative texts by examining expert folders.
LO: Students will read and write information using a thinking map of their choice.

1. SSR + record number of pages.
2. Review yesterday’s activity.
3. Finish gathering resources from expert folder.
4. Examine handout for beginning essay outline.
