HLA (1st and 5th Hours):

CO: Students will demonstrate application of digital media use in presentations by constructing a political commercial.
LO: Students will read, write, and speak persuasively using the rhetorical appeals.

1. SSR + record number of pages on NEW graph paper.
-You must include the DATE on the bottom and the NUMBER of pages on the left.

2. Reminders:
-Revised argumentative essay is due on Friday.
-Vocabulary for week 14 (5 words) is due on Friday. We will review words next Wednesday.
-Videos and abstracts are due Monday.
-Read ch.1 of Lord of the Flies for tomorrow’s discussion.

CO: Students will demonstrate application of writing to support claims with valid reasoning by producing improved essays.
LO: Students will read and write a revised essay using models to support them.

-Use editing software on laptops

ELL 4A (2nd and 4th Hours):

CO: Students will demonstrate analysis of informational text by citing evidence and drawing inferences from the text.
LO: Students will read and write to show interpretation of informational article using a flow map.

-You must include the DATE on the bottom and the NUMBER of pages on the left.

2. Reminders:
-Revised personal narrative essay is due on Friday.
-Vocabulary for week 14 (5 words) is due on Friday. We will review words next Wednesday.

3. Expert Folders:
-Students will turn in 4-square responses on the informational article, “The Trojan War.”
-Students will create a flow map of the Trojan War using “The Narrative of the Trojan War” section of the article.
