Big Week Ahead!!

Monday:  Field Day–Please have your child bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.  Also, we will be outside for several hours from 11:30-3 so sunscreen (applied at home) and a hat are a good idea.  We will have a school-wide picnic, beginning at 11:30 so your child should bring a blanket or towel.

Wednesday:  Third Grade Picnic at Levagood.  Again, water bottles, sunscreen, and hats.  Lunch will be provided.

Friday:  Field Trip to Greenfield Village.  Hats, water bottles, sunscreen!!!  Bring bag lunches!

Michigan Made Presentations!

If you would like to watch your child’s presentation, the following schedule is our plan.  Please make sure you sign in the office before you head down to our room.  We will be starting each presentation on time.  Our door will be open, just walk in and I’ll have chairs set up in the back of the room for you.  Please wait until a presentation is finished before entering/exiting the room.

Carnival Time!

Haigh  Families,

Wednesday, April 26th, we will be hosting our second annual HAIGH CARNIVAL for our April PBIS celebration. Students who have maintained positive behavior will have the opportunity to attend the carnival and play some awesome games and even win some prizes!

However, the event can only be a success with your help and donations. Below is a list of items that we are in need of for our celebration. If you are able to contribute or donate in any way, it would be GREATLY appreciated. You can turn in all donations to your child’s teacher.

We are asking that donations be turned in by Tuesday, April 25th.

  • Empty cardboard boxes (all sizes and shapes needed)
  • Hershey’s Kisses
  • Washable tattoos
  • Fake frogs (rubber/silicone)
  • Solo cups
  • Cotton Candy buckets (Wal-Mart?)

This is a whole school event, so we will need as many donations as possible (we have almost 500 students!).

We are also in need of volunteers to help run stations at the carnival. If you are able to volunteer your time, it would also be appreciated. The time slots are as follows:

A.M. session – 8:50-11:30                          P.M. session – 1:30-3:15

We need 7 morning volunteers and 7 afternoon volunteers. If you are able to volunteer, please e-mail Ms. Otto at ottoc@dearbornschools.org to sign-up 🙂

Thank you for all of your help and continued support!

PBIS Game Day!

PBIS Celebrations

Dear Families,

On March 29 we will be having a PBIS celebration to recognize your child’s positive behavior. This month’s celebration theme will be GAMES! Your child may bring board games to school.

Please label everything with your name. This celebration is an opportunity for students to have fun and play games with each other. However, if you are concerned about an item being shared with other students we recommend that it stays at home.

Thank you,

Haigh PBIS Committee
