This week, the third grade team began sending home math packets for homework!

Here are some helpful homework hints:

• These math packets are due on Fridays.  Your child will be responsible for completing the homework and it will be checked in as complete.  This will be used as part of their grade on Life Skills, Homework Completed Independently.
• While the homework packet itself is not graded, it is expected that students work on math in a similar way that they work on reading.  Building time into your child’s schedule for homework that includes 20 minutes of daily reading and 10-15 minutes of math review is an important routine to develop now before homework becomes a part of your child’s overall subject-area grade later on.
• I have a page dedicated to Math Homework, located on the right side of the blog.  Under this category, you will find links to the homework for each week.  The newest homework packet will be the LAST packet listed on the page..

I hope that you find this homework packet to be helpful and informative, not stressful or difficult.  If your child does not understand something at home, jot a note in your child’s planner and he/she can meet with me individually about the concern.
