January 9

Hello, families,

I hope everyone had time to relax and refresh over the break. January is the first month of the year, and its name comes from the Latin word for “door.” Perhaps that’s why January seems to be the time to open doors to new possibilities and new beginnings. After enjoying Ish, by Petter H. Reynolds, 3rd graders will use Kami to create a reflection on a talent they would like to spend more time developing.

We will review students’ copy and paste skills to make a snowman in Google Slides after enjoying the book The Snowman by Raymond Briggs. 2nd graders will use their typing and drawing skills on Kami to reflect on an event in which they helped someone or were helped by someone after enjoying Wolf In the Snow by Matthew Cordell.

Have a wonderful week!

Mr. Neff 🙂
