We will be having a small party on February 14th, 2017 to celebrate Valentine’s Day J During the morning we will work on a small craft and play Valentine’s Heart Bingo. In the afternoon, students will have the chance to decorate bags, and pass out their Valentine Cards to other students. If any student wants to bring a treat to share as well, such as; candy, cupcakes, cookies, juice, chips, etc., that would be great and much appreciated! After we pass out cards we will enjoy treats and pizza. Below is a list of the names of boys and girls in the class. Please make sure Valentines are addressed and ready to distribute when coming to school. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

This was an exciting week for the 4th grade class! The candidates for President of our first ever 4th grade student council put forth a great effort in campaigning. I am beyond proud of these students for having the courage to take on this huge task! This week they had a meet and greet, where they sat and answered questions from many students about their qualifications and WHY they should be voted President. Throughout the week they hung signs throughout the hallways, passed out flyers/snacks/candy, and today presented their final speech in front of the entire 4th grade! Such an awesome event to witness!!!
The results are in and the winner and President of the 4th grade student council is…..Justin Smith from Ms. Cronin’s class!!
Vice President is the runner up, which we had a tie! Jenna D. from Ms. Lahooti and Yasmeen K. from Ms. Cronin’s class.
Congratulations to everyone who ran!! Here are some pictures from the week 🙂
Families,
The end of the month is here, and that means it is time for our January PBIS celebration! On Monday, January 30th, if your child has maintained positive behavior for the entire month, they will participate in Haigh’s School-Wide Bingo game! The game will be played over the loudspeaker throughout the building so everyone will play together at the same time. This is a super fun event and a great way to recognize the positive behavior throughout our school.
Thanks for your continued support,
Haigh’s PBIS Committee
Today was a great day! I am so proud of each and every one of my students who worked so hard and prepared a wonderful speech to run for either classroom representative or grade-level President!
It truly was a sight to see how dedicated they were to wanting the position and their ideas to make the school better! The representatives that were voted upon by our class are: Maria Foley and Jamil Jumaa! Congratulations!
The top 4 voted students for President are: Ali Medlej, Zakaria Elayan, Zein Elkatib, and Moses Khalil. Congrats! These 4 boys will have to present another speech to all 4 classes next Friday, then all 4th grade will voted on one President, and a Vice-President.
I wish that every student could have been chosen, I really do! But regardless I was so impressed at the hard work they all put into it. Here are some pictures from the speeches today. Enjoy!
