Here are the spelling words for this week, notice each word is a multi-syllable word.  So please make sure your child is taking the time each night to study these words, which are more difficult than previous words we’ve had.  Newsletter is being sent home via paper copy, please note that a field trip permission slip has been sent home!  I hope everyone has an awesome week ahead!

Hi Parents!

I want to thank you for helping our class WIN the Canned goods for a cause challenge over the past couple weeks!!!  Our class was so motivated and dedicated to bringing in non-perishable items to donate for people in need 🙂

We collected almost 400 cans!!!!

Today, Miley the Cow visited our class and each student gets to go home with a $5 gift card to use at Yogurtopia.  Enjoy a few pics and way to go Mrs. Izbicki’s class!!!  Congrats!

Just a reminder that this is a 2-day week.  No school Wed, Thur, or Fri!  Due to the short week, there will be no homework, reading log, or spelling words 🙂

I just wanted to say a quick “Thank you” to all of you for taking the time to come meet with me for Parent-Teacher conferences.  It was nice to chat with all of you 🙂

TGIF 🙂

We had a fun week in school.  From Zane bringing his pet bird to class;teaching us about him and letting us hold him, to building boats with Mrs. Dimitriou’s kindergarten class and racing them.  This was a culminating activity to the kindergarten’s Weather Unit they just completed.  They all had a great time!

Below are pictures of this week’s fun!  Ameena and her K partner were the winner’s of the boat racing, but they couldn’t beat mine and Mrs. Dimitriou’s invention, lol.

Halloween was a blast at school!

Thank you to all the parents who donated candy or a treat for the class to pass and enjoy!  Thank you to the parents who came to help in the morning for our Halloween centers, and to all who came to the parade to see the kids in costume!

A special shout out to Haifa Baydoun and Hana Murtada for coming up with the fun center ideas, coordinating, and supplying the goods/items needed for these stations.  We thank you and appreciate you!!!  The kids had an amazing day!
