New Book: Charlotte’s Web

Dear families, we are starting to read our second book as a class. The name of the book is Charlotte’s Web. The first book I modeled to students how to set the purpose for reading and check for understanding throughout reading. Every night your child will have comprehension questions related to the assigned chapter. I will include audio listening, however if you rather your child read orally they can.

Purpose: What is the theme of the book Charlotte’s Web? (we will collect evidence until the end of the book)

Check for understanding( Comprehension Questions for each chapter, answered in complete sentences in student notebook.)
