Reading: Students are reading to find the theme. They are to read chapter 3 only today. While they read they must find a clue to help them determine the theme. Reading: Today students brought a common core coach workbook. This work book is designed to better prepare for MSTEP. We have made it a routine every morning. Please ensure your child completes pages 20,21,22. Thank you for your support in your child’s education.
Math: Pages 341 and 342( Drawing and Measuring Angles)
Reading: Read a book of your choice/ or your battle of the book. Don’t forget to record your reading minutes your pink reading log.
Spelling: Study your words
What do you notice about your word list? (sounds, patterns, double constants)
Does the suffix “ied” change the meaning of the root/base word?
Focus: dropping “y” and add “ied”
Reading: Make sure you are reading every night. Today it is a book of your choice. Don’t forget to stop when you are reading to check for understanding. Also, don’t forget to fill out your reading log.
Spelling: You have a spelling test tomorrow. Don’t forget to study!
