This week I have learned conflict, textual evidence (more better), and better comprehension. I learned many new things in test we took today. Therefore learned that when someone is describing something that they look like it is a simile… I thought metaphor but I had help from you this week and learned that :).

What I have learned today is the 5 elements in a plot structure they are exposition, rising action, falling action ,climax ,and resolution .I had learned new words from the story that we will be reading for example a word I learned today was sentiments ,etc .

So far I enjoyed reading “The Gift Of The Magi”, when I read the summary part I couldn’t wait till I finish reading it because the summary was interesting.
Also, the story might be sad at the same time.
this week we read a short story about a man and his wife, they are poor, every Christmas they buy gifts for each other but this time they couldn’t they had to sell something to buy something so he sold his watch and she sold her hair (she had long hair) and he sold his gold watch. i liked that story..

This week we learned 14 new vocabulary the vocabulary words are Eliminate , Promote ,Dishonesty , Priorities , Surveyed , Devote , Recreation , Dedicated , Competitive , Extracurricular , Valid , Consequences , Grit , and Hypocrisy.
We also finished reading “The Gift Of The Magi” and i really enjoyed reading it.
