Greetings Friends & families!

Poem of the Week

Frog’s Lullaby

Sleep, my pretty polliwog

Polly wolly wiggly wog

Polly wiggly waggle woggle wog

Polly wolly wiggle waggle

Wiggle waggle woggle froggle

Sleep, my little wiggle head,

In your little water bed.

Sweet dreams, pretty polliwog.

When you wake, you’ll be a frog.

What was Happening?

Our focus for this week was on the letter Q. We made our queen out of construction papers that represents our letter of the week, the letter Q. We also made our letter Q mini-books. We picked our favorite items that start with the letter P and glued them inside our letter Q book.

This week, we continued learning about the core word “Want”. For that purpose, we continued on our book, “Eat the Rainbow”. Since it is Spring, therefore, for this week, we read “Going on a Picnic” book. Our reading comprehension question was, “What book did we read?”. We explored “If you give a mouse a cookie” book, written by “Laura Joffe Numeroff” and illustrated by “Felicia Bond”, and we answered some comprehension questions about this book.

In math, we still learning about identifying which item is tall, and which is short.

In science, we learned about living & nonliving things around us.

The explorers visited Music, Art, and Gym, and they had such a great and fun time during their activities with each other and with the staff, as well.

We were so excited on Thursday when we visited Life Town center. It was so much fun to brows different shops and public places. It was a very nice experience to be familiar with various opportunities around us. We had fun watching a movie and eating popcorn, getting massage and nail polish, biking, buying various goods, meeting some friendly pets, and eating ice cream.

Enjoy this week’s pictures:

Riddle

Who dances lightly through the world

in slippers mossy green?

Who covers trees with tiny leaves

where birds can hide unseen?

Who brings the flowers?

Who brings the showers?

Who brings the butterflies?

Of course, you know the answer——-

That

Greetings Friends & Families:

Poem of the Week

The Fairies

See the fairies dancing in

the misty meadow hay,

Leaping on the stone wall, up and away.

One little, two little, seven little men,

Dancing in the shadows of the forest glen,

Down past the oak tree

Down past the brook

Dancing through the valley to

the fairies’ nook.

Skip across a duck’s back

Jump acroos a jay

Leap fairies, leap fairies , leap and away;

Up a hairy thistle

Swinging on the spike

Jump into the thistledown

Sleep all night!

Poem Of the week

Invitation to the Wind

Dance

with me

now

in the spring light

dance

with me under the sky.

Dance on

your

tiptoes and turn me and

whirl me and lift me

and teach me to fly!

carry me

on your wild shoulders

I’ll

catch all the petals

that spill!

Dance with me,

Wind,

like

you

dance

with the kites

Like you dance with those kites

on the hill!

Greetings Friends & Families:)

Our focus for this week was on letter N. The explorers were learning how to trace, identify, & choose their favorite images of the letter of the week, letter N. They created their “Letter N mini-book”, a “We Need Letter N” book, and a poster of “My favorite of letter N”. We are still learning our core word “Want” in which we are using our book “When I want”. Also, we created letter N posters from construction papers and glued small pieces of a newspaper. As you know, the word “newspaper” starts with letter N.

Story time was about “If you give a pig a pancake” book. We were examining our reading comprehension by answering questions such as, “What book did we read?” and “Who was the character in the story?”.

For this week’s math, we still working on shapes. The explorers worked on identifying, tracing, & playing with shapes figures.
