The Exploration of the week of 05/26/2025

  1. The letter of this week was the letter “Z”.
  2. We did “letter “Z” craft. “Z” is for “Zebra”.
  3. For reading comprehension and to answer “What book did we read?” and “What was our core word?”, we read “Easy And Hard” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
  4. Our core word for this month was “It”.
  5. ELA objectives for the month of May that we were focusing on were “I can identify the same pictures/objects of two books.”, and “I can attend to others talking or writing about things in my life.”
  6. This week’s story was “Is it warm enough for ice cream?”.
  7. For math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices, as well as we sang counting songs. 
  8. Math objectives for the month of May were “I can tell time to the hour on A digital clock.”, and “I can learn about shapes.”
  9. We went to Music, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to Art and met Mrs. Nada.
  10. On Thursday, we had “Field Day” at Edsel Ford high school.

The Exploration of the week of 05/05/2025

  1. We started this week with a beautiful visit of our students’ moms. We had an amazing indoor picnic. Thank you so much moms for making our day even better:)
  2. We also celebrated Bisan’s tenth birthday on Monday. Happy Birthday Bisan.

  6. This week’s story was “Don’t Push the Button!An Easter Surprise” written by “ Bill cotter”.
  7. ULS focus for this month is “Time for Peace”.
  8. For math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices, as well as we sang counting songs. 
  9. Math objectives for the month of April are I can identify Opposites”, andI can identify coins and their value.
  10. We went to Music, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to Art and met Mrs. Nada.
  11. We met our occupational therapist (Mrs. Andrea), physical therapist(Mrs. Sandy) and our speech therapist (Ms. katelyn Pinkowski).
  12. On Thursday, we went swimming at the Civic Center. It was a great experience and we had a great time:)
  13. We ended this week with NED innovation assembly.
  14. Congratulations Ava and Esraa for being students of the month of April. Both of them were awarded a certificate of “Perseverance” which is the characteristic trait for the month of April.
