The Exploration of the week of 09/16/2024

  1. The letter of the week was the letter “B”. We did letter “B” craft. “B” is for “Balloons”.
  2. September 18th was “The Cheeseburger Day” and we finished a worksheet for this day.
  3. Since we are working on matching, we finished ELA matching worksheets.
  4. For reading comprehension, we answered the following questions, “What book did we read?” & “What was our core word?“, and for that we read “Where did you Go” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
  5. We started a new core word, the word “Go”.
  6. This week’s story was “How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?” by “Jane Yolen” and illustrated by “Mark Teague”.
  7. ELA objectives for the month of September that we will be focusing on are: I can identify What, Who, and Where questions about a familiar story. I can understand that books are read one page at a time, beginning to end.
  8. For math comprehension, we started to learn about counting numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices.
  9. Math objectives for the month of September that we will be focusing on are: I can count objects up to 10. I can count objects up to 20.
  10. Our “ULS” focus for this month will be on “I Can Follow The Rules”.
  11. We went to Music and met Mrs. Reed, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to the Art and met Mrs. Nada.
  12. We met our speech specialist (Ms. Katleyn), physical therapist (Mrs. Sandy), occupational therapist (Mrs. Andrea), and the teacher consultant, Mrs. Kimberly.
