Greetings, Friends & Families!
What was happening in our classroom?
- This week, we continued learning all that we can about the letter “A”. We did letter “A” packet, we also finished “How an apple grows” and the month of September worksheets.
- For reading comprehension, we answered the following questions, “What book did we read?” & “What was our core word?“, and for that we read “We Are” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
- Our core word for the month of September will be “I”.
- This week’s story was “My Teacher is a Monster” by “Peter Brown”.
- ELA objectives for the month of September that we will be focusing on are: I can identify What, Who, and Where questions about a familiar story. I can understand that books are read one page at a time, beginning to end.
- For math comprehension, we started to learn about counting numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices.
- Math objectives for the month of September that we will be focusing on are: I can count objects up to 10. I can count objects up to 20.
- Our “ULS” focus for this month will be on “I Can Follow The Rules”.
- We went to Music and met Mrs. Reed, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to the Art and met Mrs. Nada.
- We met our speech specialist (Ms. Katleyn), physical therapist (Mrs. Sandy), occupational therapist (Mrs. Andrea), and the teacher consultant, Mrs. Kimberly.
- Finally, this week, we celebrated Ava’s birthday. Big shout and congratulations to her 🙂
