Greetings, Friends & Families!

What was happening in our classroom?

Welcome everyone to our second week of school 🙂
We started this week on Tuesday which was an early release day.
This week, we learned all that we can about the letter “A” which was our letter of the week.
FUN FACT about the letter “A”: in our classroom we found that four of our friends their names start with the letter “A”. Anisa, Adam, Ava, and Ahmed!
“A” is for “Apple”, and we made the letter “A” craft.
For reading comprehension, we answered the following questions, “What book did we read?” & “What was our core word?“, and for that we read “I Said Hi” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
Our core word for the month of September will be “I”.
This week’s story was “The Pigeon Has to Go to School” by “Mo Willems”.
ELA objectives for the month of September that we will be focusing on are: I can identify What, Who, and Where questions about a familiar story. I can understand that books are read one page at a time, beginning to end.
For math comprehension, we started to learn about counting numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices.
Math objectives for the month of September that we will be focusing on are: I can count objects up to 10. I can count objects up to 20.
Our “ULS” focus for this month will be on “I Can Follow The Rules”.
We went to Music and met Mrs. Reed, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to the Art and met Mrs., Nada.
Finally, we met our speech specialist(Ms. Katleyn), physical therapist(Mrs. Sandy), and occupational therapist(Mrs. Andrea).
