Greetings, Friends & Families!
What was happening in our classroom?
The letter of the week was the letter “Q”. We worked on letter “Q” worksheets. We did letter “Q” craft, “Q” is for “Queen”. Our core word for the month of February is “Want”. We answered our two reading comprehension questions, “What book did we read?”, and “What was our core word?”. We read “When I Want” book from the “Core First Learning” series. “Shapes” is the math concept for the month of February, and that’s what we focused on through this last week. To improve our math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10 during our morning meeting and throughout the day. We talked about how there always consequences to our actions. Some are good and some are bad, and we made our choices on a worksheet that explained this topic. We also talked about different toppings that would be on top of a pizza or on top of an ice cream, and also we finished a worksheet for it. This week’s story was “Hugs & Kisses for the Grouchy Ladybug“. The author and the illustrator of this book is “Eric Carle”. We visited Music on Monday & Thursday, Gym on Wednesday & Friday, and Art on Tuesday. We ended this week with a visit from the Creative Project team who helped our kiddos in making Valentine’s boxes. Big thanks to this amazing group of students:)
A friendly reminder, dear parents, it is very essential to help our children grow a love for reading. Reading every night with your child helps strengthen the relationship between both of you, as well as the love of reading. Please, continue reading to and with your child.
