Greetings, Friends & Families!
Welcome back & happy New Year everyone!
What was happening in our classroom?
Our first week of the year of 2024 was short. We started this week with a half day on Monday, then an early release day on Tuesday.
This month’s core word is “Like”, and we started this week our reading comprehension with a book tour through “Mothers & Babies” book from the “Core First Learning” series. Through walking the book’s pages, we will be able to answer our two reading comprehension questions, “What book did we read?” & “What was our core book?”.
The letter of the week was the letter “N”. We worked on letter “N” worksheet, and we did letter “N” craft. Letter “N” is for “Newspaper”.
Our math comprehension for the month of January is “Fractions”, and we will try to identify fractions “half and whole”.
The concept of Unique Learning System for the month of January is “I Can Be Healthy”.
This week’s story was “The Night Before New Year’s”. The author of this book is “Natasha Wing”, and the illustrator is “Amy Wummer”.
We visited Music on Monday & Thursday, Gym on Wednesday & Friday, and Art on Tuesday.
Our Congratulations go to our friend, Heba, for being a student of the month of December. Heba received a “Kindness Award” for being kind and helpful.
A friendly reminder, dear parents, it is very essential to help our children grow a love for reading. Reading every night with your child helps strengthen the relationship between both of you, as well as the love of reading. Please, continue reading to and with your child.
