What was happening in our classroom?

Welcome to the first week of October! This week we started our reading comprehension with the learning about the new core word “GO”. We read “Where did you go?” book from the “Core First Learning” series. This week’s story was “How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?”. This book was written by Jane Yolen and was illustrated by Mark Teague. This week, we learned about the letter “D”. We made letter “D” crafts. The word “Donut” starts with the letter “D”. We also worked on letter “D” worksheets. For math comprehension, we continued on counting numbers 1-10. We counted blocks, cubes, and our fingers, and we sang counting numbers song. For science comprehension, we learned about calendar, seasons, & the Weather. In this week we met our physical therapist, Mrs. LaSandra, our Speech therapist, Ms. Kaitlin, and Mr. Al, our occupational therapist. we also had so much fun in the Gym, Art, & Music.

Dear parents, it is very essential to help our children grow a love for reading. Reading every night with your child helps strengthen the relationship between both of you, as well as the love of reading.
