Greetings, Friends & Families!
What was happening in Room 115?
- The letter of this week was the letter “Z”.
- We did “letter “Z” craft. “Z” is for “Zebra”.
- For reading comprehension and to answer “What book did we read?” and “What was our core word?”, we read “Easy And Hard” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
- Our core word for this month was “It”.
- ELA objectives for the month of May that we were focusing on were “I can identify the same pictures/objects of two books.”, and “I can attend to others talking or writing about things in my life.”
- This week’s story was “Is it warm enough for ice cream?”.
- For math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices, as well as we sang counting songs.
- Math objectives for the month of May were “I can tell time to the hour on A digital clock.”, and “I can learn about shapes.”
- We went to Music, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to Art and met Mrs. Nada.
- On Thursday, we had “Field Day” at Edsel Ford high school.
A Friendly reminder, dear parents, it is very essential to help our children grow a love for reading. Reading every night with your child helps strengthen the relationship between both of you, as well as the love of reading.
