Greetings, Friends & Families!
What was happening in room 115?
- We still in the spirit of “March is Reading Month”. In this week we had a visit from the National Honor Society. Two students read a book with us.
- During this week, we visited Ms. Keebler’s classroom, and we worked with her third graders in a group project.
- The letter of this week was the letter “R”.
- We did letter “R” craft. “R” is for “Rainbow”.
- For reading comprehension and to answer “What book did we read?” and “What was our core word?”, we read “You” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
- Our core word for the month of March is “You”.
- ELA objectives for the month of March that we are focusing on are “I can identify what the character did in a familiar story”, and “I can explore books independently!”.
- This week’s stories were “Going On A Picnic” an adaptive interactive book by “Michelle Breaux” and “We’re Going On A Picnic” by “Pat Hutchins”.
- For math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices, as well as we sang counting songs.
- Math objective for the month of March is “I can compare objects and identify which is tall and short“.
- ULS focus for this month is on “Tell Me About The Weather”.
- We went to Music and met Mrs. Reed, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to the Art and met Mrs. Nada.
- We met our physical therapy specialist, Ms. Sandi, our occupational therapy specialist, Ms. Andrea, and our speech therapy specialist, Ms. Katelyn.
- Finally, our friend Nadine is officially part of our family now. Welcome to our team Nadine:)
