What was happening in room 115?

1. Continued in the spirit of “March is Reading Month”. In this week we had a visit from Dearborn Public Schools superintendent, Dr. Malayko, who read a book with us.
2. During this week, Ms. Keebler’s students visited us and we had a group project.
3. The letter of this week was the letter “S”.
4. We did letter “S” craft. “S” is for “Sandwich”.
5. For reading comprehension and to answer “What book did we read?” and “What was our core word?”, we read “You Are My” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
6. Our core word for the month of March was “You”.
7. ELA objectives for the month of March that we focused on were “I can identify what the character did in a familiar story”, and “I can explore books independently!”.
8. This week’s story was “There was an Old Lady who swallowed a Clover!” by “Lucille Colandro” and illustrated by “Jared Lee”.
9. For math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices, as well as we sang counting songs. 
10. Math objective for the month of March was “I can compare objects and identify which is tall and short“.
11. ULS focus for this month was on “Tell Me About The Weather”.
12. We went to Music and met Mrs. Reed, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to the Art and met Mrs. Nada.
13. We met our physical therapy specialist, Ms. Sandi, our occupational therapy specialist, Ms. Andrea, and our speech therapy specialist, Ms. Katelyn.
14. Congratulations, Nadine, for being a student of the month. “Growth Mindset” was the characteristic trait for the month of March.

2. During this week, we visited Ms. Keebler’s classroom, and we worked with her third graders in a group project.
3. The letter of this week was the letter “R”.
4. We did letter “R” craft. “R” is for “Rainbow”.
5. For reading comprehension and to answer “What book did we read?” and “What was our core word?”, we read “You” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
6. Our core word for the month of March is “You”.

8. This week’s stories were “Going On A Picnic” an adaptive interactive book by “Michelle Breaux” and “We’re Going On A Picnic” by “Pat Hutchins”.
9. For math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices, as well as we sang counting songs. 
10. Math objective for the month of March is “I can compare objects and identify which is tall and short“.

What was happening in room 115?

1. This week was a very busy one. We started this week with a visit from channel 4 local news anchor, “Jason Colthorp”. Since March is reading month, Mr. Colthorp read a story for the whole school.
2. During this week, we visited Ms. Keebler’s classroom, and we worked with her third graders in a group project.
3. We ended this week by a visit from “Creative Needs Project” group who helped us making unicorns and reading us a book.
4. The letter of this week was the letter “Q”.
5. We did letter “Q” craft. “Q” is for “Queen”.
6. For reading comprehension and to answer “What book did we read?” and “What was our core word?”, we read “I Like You” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
7. Our core word for the month of March is “You”.
8. ELA objectives for the month of March that we are focusing on are “I can identify what the character did in a familiar story”, and “I can explore books independently!”.
9. This week’s stories were “In March I see” and “Hiya Moriah” book written by “Victoria Nelson”.
