The Exploration of the week of 11/18/2024

  1. The letter of the week was the letter “J”. “J” is for “Jelly Beans”.
  2. We practiced different worksheets for the letter “J”.
  3. For reading comprehension and to answer “What book did we read?” and “What was our core word?”, we read “Stop!Said the Cop!” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
  4. Our core word for the month of November is “Stop”.
  5. This week’s story was “In November” by the author “Cynthia Rylant”, and the illustrator “Jill Kastner”.
  6. ELA objective for the month of November that we will be focusing on are “I can retell major events from a familiar story”, “I can answer simple questions (What, who)”, and ” I can identify the topic of a familiar text”.
  7. “Unique Learning System” focus for the month of November is on “Finding Our Way”.
  8. For math comprehension, we counted numbers 1-10. We counted our fingers, blocks, pictures, and on our communication devices, as well as we sang counting songs. 
  9. Math objectives for the month of November that we were focusing on is “I can identify groups of more, less, or equal to”.
  10. We went to Music and met Mrs. Reed, Gym and met Mr. Borg, and to the Art and met Mrs. Nada.
  11. We met our occupational therapist (Mrs. Andrea), physical therapist(Mrs. Sandy) and our speech therapist (Ms. katelyn Pinkowski).
  12. I would like to send a huge thank you to our reading buddies from Mrs. Keebler’s classroom(Layana, Amira, Anisa, Mia, and Lana).
  13. We ended this week with “Henry Ford Museum” field trip.
