The Exploration of the week of 4/29 – 5/3/2024

  1. The letter of this week was the letter “Y”.
  2. We did letter “Y” craft, “Y” is for “Yellow”.
  3. Our core word for the month of April was “Can“, and for the month of May is “Do”.
  4. We answered our two reading comprehension questions, “What book did we read?”, and “What was our core word?”.
  5. We read “The Sleepover” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
  6. This week’s stories was “Froggy Finds Signs Of Spring”.
  7. Our ELA focus for the month of April was “Illustrations & Word Recognition”, while the month of May focus will be on “Compare & Contrast”.
  8. Our math focus for the month of April was “Measurement & Data”, and the key concepts were “Time, Money, & Graphs”. Math concepts for the month of May will be on “Measurement & Data, Geometry”, and the key concepts are “Shapes & Angles”.
  9. ULS topic for the month of May is “Life Science: Plants Can Grow”.
  10. On Tuesday, we went to Art class. On Monday & Thursday, we went to Music, and on Wednesday and Friday, we went to the Gym.
  11. On Monday, we worked with Ms. LaSandra, our physical therapist. On Friday, we worked with Ms. Katie, our speech therapist, and throughout the week, we worked with Mr. Allen, our occupational therapist.
  12. Finally, on Wednesday, Creative project group held a carnival to celebrate the end of the school year. We would like to send so many thanks for all they do throughout the year to support us and engaging us in many different activities.
