The Exploration of the week of 12/18/2023

  1. We started this week with a visit from “Creative Project” group. They were so sweet, kind and added the spirit of the season to our classroom. They also handed each one of our friends in the classroom a nice toy. Big shout and thanks to “Creative Project” group.
  2. The letter of the week was the letter “M”.
  3. We made letter “M” crafts, “M” is for “Mouse”.
  4. Worked on letter “M” worksheets.
  5. We answered the reading comprehension questions, “What book did we read?” & “What was our core word?“, and for that we read “A Good Pet” book from the “Core First Learning” series.
  6. Our core word still “No”.
  7. This week’s story was “The Night Before New Year’s”. The author of this book is “Natasha Wing”, and the illustrator is “Amy Wummer”.
  8. Math concepts and focus for the month of December was number sense, operations, and algebraic thinking.
  9. We visited Music on Monday & Thursday, Gym on Wednesday & Friday, and Art on Tuesday.
  10. We ended this week and this school year (2023) with a Sing-A-long assembly. It was a great show that ended with a visit from Santa 🙂
