Greetings, Friends & Families!
What was happening in our classroom?
This week we continued our reading comprehension with the learning about the core word “Stop”. We answered the reading comprehension questions, “What book did we read?” & “What was our core word?“, and for that we read “Stop Doing That” book from the “Core First Learning” series. This week’s story was “In November” by “Cynthia Rylant” and illustrated by “Jill Kastner”. The letter of the week was the letter “I”. We worked on letter “I” worksheets, and we made letter “H” crafts. The word “Ice Cream” starts with the letter “I”. For math comprehension, we continued on the concept of more & less. In this week we met our physical therapist, Mrs. LaSandra, Mr. Al the occupational therapist, and our Speech therapist, Ms. Kaitlyn, we also participated in the Gym, Art, & Music. We ended our week with a visit to the Henry Ford Village as part of our CBI.
As always, dear parents, it is very essential to help our children grow a love for reading. Reading every night with your child helps strengthen the relationship between both of you, as well as the love of reading. Please, continue reading to and with your child, and for this week, please use the link below to listen and enjoy this week’s story with your child 🙂
