Greetings, Friends & Families!
What was happening in our classroom?
This week we welcomed our new friend Fatima who joined our family at room 115. We are so delighted and happy to have you with us, Fatima:)
We spent this week in setting our school and classroom rules, procedures, and our daily schedule. We worked on how do we feel on our first day of school, what is our favorite subject, and what is our favorite special to go to during the day. We started our reading comprehension with learning about our first core word, “I”. We read “I said, Hi”, from the “Core First Learning” series. For this week, we read “The Pigeon HAS to Go to School!” book by “Mo Willems”. For math comprehension, we started counting numbers 1-5. And for science comprehension, we learned about calendar, seasons, & the Weather. We would like to thank Bisan’s mom for donating different supplies that we need in our classroom, thank you so much Mrs. Freij 🙂 We also would like to welcome our new aids who are going to stay with us until the end of September, Ms. Rahma and Ms. Zahraa, we are very happy to have you with us ladies, and we appreciate all that you do in our classroom 🙂
In this week we met our wonderful physical therapist, Mrs. LaSandra, and we had so much fun in the Gym, Art, & Music.
Dear parents, it is very essential to help our children grow a love for reading. Reading every night with your child helps strengthen the relationship between both of you, as well as the love of reading. Please, use the link below to listen and enjoy this week’s story with your child 🙂
