Greetings Friends & Families!
Poem of the week
Something Told the Wild Geese
Something told the Wild Geese
It was time to go.
Though the fields lay golden
Something whispered — “Snow”.
Leaves were green and stirring,
Berries, luster-glossed,
But beneath warm feathers
Something cautioned –“Frost”.
Something told the wild geese
It was time to fly—-
Summer sun was on their wings,
Winter in their cry.

What was Happening?
For this week, we explored the letter “H”. We learned how to sound, find, trace, & color the letter “H”. It was so fun to match pictures that start with letter “H” to their names. We also, learned that the name of two of our friends in our classroom starts with letter “H”, Heba & Hanin. Our craft for this week for letter “H” was “H is for Hearts”. We made our samples and put them inside our classroom, as well as, we made our poster and placed it outside the classroom. We also made a turkey out of a paper plate!
For reading comprehension, we answered “What book did we read?” and “What was the story about?”. Our story for this week was, “The Wind Blew” by Pat Hutchins. This week, we started a new core word from “Core First Learning” series, “NOT”. We also read “Not From Here” book.
For math comprehension, we started more than, less than, and equal concepts. We also reviewed counting numbers 1-10. For science, we reviewed the calendar vocabularies. We enjoyed going to the Gym, Art, & music.
Congratulations to our friend Esraa for being a student of the month of October. Responsibility was the character trait for the month of October.
Finally, it was so fun when we participated on the Halloween party on Monday!
