Exploration the week of 10/03/2022

Greetings Friends & Families!

Poem of the week

Autumn Leaves

Green leaves,

Yellow leaves,

red leaves, and brown,

Falling,

Falling,

Blanketing the town.

Oak leaves,

maple leaves,

Apple leaves, and pear,

Falling,

Whispering,

“Autumn’s in the air!”

Big leaves,

Little leaves,

Pointed leaves, and round,

Falling,

Nestling,

Carpeting the ground.

What was Happening?

The Letter “E” is our focus for this week. We traced, colored & matched all about the letter “E”. We made our sample of “E is for Elephant” and placed it inside our classroom, while we placed our letter “E” poster on the wall outside the room. We enjoyed working on these activities:) For reading comprehension, we answered “What book did we read?” and “Who was the book about?” questions. We also worked on our core words for this week, “I” and “Want”, and we used “When I Want” book from the “Core first Learning” series. For math, we learned how to use different manipulatives to count from 1-10. In science, we are learning about seasons, weather, and calendar words, and we still are watching how the leaves are changing their colors.
