Greetings: Friends & Families!
Poem of the week
Gray Squirrel
Hurry, hurry, scamper, scurry,
Little squirrel all gray and furry.
Find an acorn; crack it, crunch it,
Nibble, nibble, munch, munch, munch it.
Find another, fat and round,
To bury quickly in the ground.
Gather nuts-don’t stop to play!
For winter winds are on the way.

What Was Happening?
In this week, the letter “C” was our focus. We worked on letter “C” worksheets in which we learned how to trace the letter “C”, how to color pictures that start with letter “C”, and we also made “C is for car” samples. We picked some of our pictures that start with the letter of the week and hung them on the wall outside our classroom. We are still working on counting numbers 1-10 in math. Since Fall started on Thursday the 22nd of September, we will be observing how tree leaves change their color for science class. We made a tree out of construction paper and filled it with natural green leaves. We will keep an eye on these leaves while they change their color. For reading comprehension, we used “Pete the Cat The Wheels on the Bus” by James Dean. We worked on answering “What book did we read?” and “Who was the story about?”. We continued with our core word “I” by reading “I have Feelings” . We enjoyed our time with Ms. Nada (Art), Mrs. Reed (Music), and Mr. Borg (Gym).
