Greetings Friends & Families!
Poem of the week
Valentine for Earth
Oh, it will be fine to rocket through space
And see the reverse of the moon’s dark face,
To travel to Saturn or Venus or Mars,
Or maybe discover some uncharted stars.
But do they have anything better than we?
Do you think, for instance, they have a blue sea
For sailing and swimming?
Do the planets have hills with raspberry thickets
Where a song sparrow fills
The summer with music?
And do they have snow to silver the roads
Where the school buses go?
Oh, I’m all for rockets and worlds cold or hot,
But I’m wild in love With the planet we’ve got!

What was Happening?
Letter S was our focus on this past week. We worked on our mini letter S book in which we picked our pictures that start with this week’s letter, the letter S, and glued them inside. We also made our S out of construction papers and picked our stars to glue them on top of our letter. We also had our poster posted outside our room to represent our letter of the week, the letter S. We colored our “I Saw Letter S” book. Our reading comprehension question was “What book did we read?”, therefore, we have been reading “ How to catch the Easter Bunny” story. We still practicing our core word “STOP”, and we have been reading “”Stop” Said the Cop” book.
We have been learning our opposites in math, while we learned about living or nonliving things in science.
We had so much fun today hunting for some eggs. We were able to catch two eggs and get two balloons. WOW! it was really super fun!
The explorers visited the Gym, the music room, and the Art room, as well.
Enjoy this week’s pictures:
