Greetings, Friends & Families!
Poem of the week
In the Summer We Eat
In the Summer we eat,
In the Winter we don’t;
In the Summer we’ll play,
In the winter we won’t.
All winter we sleep, each curled in a ball
As soon as the snowflakes start to fall.
But in Spring we each come out of our den
And start to eat all over again.

What was happening?
This week, the explorers were still busy discovering all the magic about the letter of the week, the letter H. They worked very hard in tracing, coloring, matching, sounding out, and identifying the letter H. Using construction papers, they made the letter H as a shape of a house. And “house” starts with the letter “H”.
To improve our reading comprehension, we used the book that has the title of “Sneezy the Snowman” by “Maureen Wright” to answer questions such as, “Who was the character in the story?”, “When did the story take place?”, “Where did the story take place?”, and “what was the story about?”.
In Math, we counted numbers, completed patterns, and learned about greater than/less than.
The explorers in room #107 continued their lessons in science. Last week, we started a unit that focuses on “Animal & Plant Secrets”. This week’s lesson was about “Where do animals live?”. The explorers chose their favorite animal, glued its picture, wrote the name of the animal and where does it make its home?
Our most incredible event for this week was a field trip to Lifetown. Everybody enjoyed this trip. The explorers had the chance to eat ice cream, ride a bike, buy a toy, meet pets, and even get a massage and nail polish. It was super fun
Enjoy this week’s pictures
