Greetings, Families
Poem Of The Week
Colors Crackle, Colors Roar
Red Shouts a loud, ballon-round sound.
Black crackles like noisy grackles.
Cafe clickety-clicks its wooden sticks.
Yellow sparks and sizzles, tzz-tzz.
White sings, Ay, her high, light note.
Verde rustles leaf secrets, swish, swish.
Gris whis-whis-whispers its kitten whiskers.
Silver ting-ting-a-ling jingles.
Azul coo-coo-coos like pajaritos do.
Purple thunders and rum-rum-rumbles.
Oro blares, a brassy, brass tuba.
Orange growls its striped, rolled roar.
Colors Crackle. Colors Roar.

What was happening?
For this week, my explorers learned their new letter of the week, the letter F. They created their letter F mini-book. They glued pictures that start with the letter F, and they colored another mini-book that contains pictures that start with our letter of the week. My friends had so much fun reading the book of the week, “Five Silly Turkeys” by “Salina Yoon”. Eye-gazing, picking up, or pointing are some of the techniques that my explorers used to answer the “who, what, when, and where” questions. We used the same book to learn our math concepts for this week, such as counting. In this book, we were able to count how many turkeys we had left on each page.
Ms. Al-asady was so happy and excited for meeting her explorers’ families. The meetings were very friendly and productive. I would like to thank all the parents for joining the meetings, their elegant attitude, and for their positive inputs.
