Today’s bellwork reviewed simplifying expressions by applying the Order of Operations.
For the remainder of the hour, we reviewed writing mathematical expressions from statements and began discussing Section 1.1 – Variables; writing equations and defining variables from a given situation or table.

For the remainder of the hour, we went over yesterday’s homework and began reviewing the basic skills needed for Chapter 1; adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers.
There will be a quiz over this material (without a calculator) on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019.

Bellwork gave students practice over solving quadratic equations by factoring, square roots, and Quadratic Formula.
For the remainder of the hour, we reviewed for the upcoming Chapter 10 Test over Quadratic Functions and students worked on a Classwork packet that we will continue to work on Thursday after break.
