Today’s bellwork reviewed order of operations and writing algebraic expressions.  For the remainder of the hour, we started discussing section 1.3 – exploring real numbers.  Students were able to identify real numbers: rational, irrational, whole, natural, and integers as well as solve algebraic expressions with absolute values.  Attached below are today’s class materials.

Today’s bellwork reviewed writing mathematical statements, developing equations, and order of operations.  For the remainder of the hour, we finished discussing solving expressions using order of operations.  Next week, students will be taking a quiz over adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers without a calculator.  Attached below are today’s class materials.
