We discussed the Kennedy presidency, including the Space Race, and then introduced the Johnson Administration. Students were given time to work on the Ch. 20 sec. 2-3 Questions — due tomorrow.

Tuesday 4/1/25

After setting up our new seating chart, we discussed some Social Studies prefixes, and then students filled out FERPA forms.

Monday 3/17/2025

Student took the Ch. 19 Test during the first half of class. They then answered questions on a video over culture (in the 1950s).

Friday 3/14/25

Pi Day!

Students used our class time to prepare for Monday’s Ch. 19 Test by working on the Ch. 19 Study Guide.

Thursday 3/13/25

We discussed the Ch. 19 sec. 3-4 answers, including Cinerama and the Longoria Incident.

Tuesday 3/11/25

The Ch. 19 sec. 3-4 Questions were collected at the start of the hour. Students then answered questions on the origins of Rock-N-Roll and nonconformity in the 1950s.

Monday 3/10/25

We discussed the Good Wife’s Guide, and then finished going over the Ch. 19 sec. 2 Answers. Students were then given time to work on the CH. 19 sec. 3-4 Textbook Questions — due tomorrow!

Friday 3/7/25

We discussed yesterday’s Suburbia and Conformity documents, and then began going over the Ch. 19 sec. 2 answers. Students completed a handout on the Baby Boom, and then were given time to work on the Good Wife’s Guide.

Thursday 3/6/25

The 19-2 Questions were checked at the start of class. We finished discussing the Ch. 19 sec. 1 Textbook Questions, including Levittown and Richard Nixon’s “Checkers Speech.” Students were also given time to work on the documents over the suburbs and conformity.

Tuesday 3/4/25

The Ch. 19 sec. 1 Questions were checked at the start of the hour (and students will hang on to yesterday’s Happy Daze questions). We began to go over the 19-1 answers, and discussed the “Detroit Wall.” Students were also given time to work on the 19-2 Textbook Questions– due on Thursday.
